There is something you should know about me.

#1.  I want to be sorta organized.

So I made the iSew Coupon Organizer. I got to the point when I needed to put the tabs and I panicked. What did I want my sections to be named? (By the way, Ginny has created a downloadable pdf on her website with tabs ready to print out! See them here). Did I want vinyl tabs so I could change them?

And then I realized something. I would be more likely to use my organizer if I didn’t feel like it had to be organized. Does that even make sense? Even having the blank vinyl tabs would make me feel pressured to decide on an organizational method. And when I couldn’t decide, I wouldn’t use it. And the beautiful organizer would sit on my shelf. So, I left them out!

Am I hopeless?

Anyway, I do have to say that this pattern was delightful. Ginny has raised the bar on PDF patterns, if you ask me. It was not only well written, she had fantastic pictures that actually made sense and showed the steps! The layout of the pattern was superb and professional. She provides several options with-in the pattern to really customize your organizer (and to not hand-stitch the binding!  Now I wish I had taken the time to put on a matching thread!) I look forward to trying out her other patterns as well!

Here’s the breakdown of my organizer:

Pattern: Coupon organizer by iSew
Outside fabric: Pressed Leaves by Erin McMorris (Wildwood Collection)
Inside fabric: Fireworks by Jenean Morrison (Picnic Parade collection)
Side/Binding: Leaf Dots by Erin McMorris (Park Slope Collection)
Dividers: Orange Peel by Art Gallery (Nature Elements Collection – wonderful blenders!)

Okay, next up – pictures of my new bag a la Craft Apple.  Hope you’re all having a fantastic week!

I love the fabrics! I can relate to the fear of using tabs. Then what if you put a tab there and you never use that section and the other sections are stuffed. Argh! I would consider it organzied if I remembered to use it. I try….over and over again. One day I’ll get it! 🙂

Cute! I gave up using coupons after #2 was born, but I like to be sorta organized too! I could use something like that to organize the receipts that accumulate at the bottom of my purse!

Looking forward to seeing your next bag, too!

Very cute! Coupons are not my thing but if they were I’d want one of those! =)
