Georgia Blush

Georgia, Georgia,
The whole day through
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind

ZozoBugBaby Pattern

I could not get Georgia off my mind….that is for sure!
And as soon as Blush arrived on my door, I knew exactly what I needed to do.   🙂
This sweet line from Basic Grey is just perfect for the wonderful ZozoBugBaby Patterns!

earrings too!

In other news, Haley got her ears pierced Friday after school.
She had asked several months before, but decided against it for the time being.
It came up again about a week ago.
I told her we could go on Friday if she hadn’t changed her mind again.
(Which happened to be after her parent-teacher conference
By the way, glowing report from the teacher!)

Friday morning, she got up and excitedly told me
“I’m getting my ears pierced today!”
She hadn’t changed her mind.
She’s like her mama in so many ways.
And now, she’s just a little more grown-up.

What a brave girl! You can tell her that I didn’t dare get my ears pierced until I was in college, and even then I was a wimp about it. 🙂

Beautiful dress, btw. What a lucky one she is. What would you do if you didn’t have a daughter? Design patterns, maybe? He he.

Yeah, I’m lucky I have a little girl to sew for. I’m determined to make more things for my boys this year tho – so I have a few items in the works for them 🙂

    Hi 🙂

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on the progress of the socialite dress 🙂 I’ve now finished it (link below) and have been enjoying wearing it. Its’ so lovley to wear and I’m looking forward to making another one 🙂 No, I didn’t put the side pockets in, I felt they would add too much bulk to the hip area (which is always an area for us woman to not want bulk in) I also made a tie for the waist or under the bust (versatile)

Gorgeous little dress in your post, and lucky little girl to have her ears pierced 🙂 She’s very sweet 🙂

I look forward to popping by your blog more often 🙂

Have a lovely day, MelB xox

Your dress for Haley is much prettier than the one on the pattern:) I have sewn up a couple of pillows for Stephanie’s nursery, but it has been so long I had to get the book out to figure out how to thread the needle! ha! Really enjoy seeing and reading about all you do!
