You may recall, I needed to make Haley a pillow for rest time at kindergarten.
I had plans.  Patchwork plans.  Embroidery  plans.  Really really cute plans.
And then I mentioned it to Haley.

She had other plans.  No patchwork.  No embroidery.

Just the Fairy Wing Park fabric and the “fashion brown”…..just like her dress.
So I put it off for a week.  Hoping she’d change her mind.
(The teacher has a few classroom pillows so she wasn’t laying on concrete!)
She didn’t change her mind.  She is just exactly like me.
So I made her the pillow she really wanted from the beginning.
Pillow for Haley
It is cute…
my plans would have been cute too.
Maybe next time….

(And don’t even ask me about the backpack.)

I think the pillow turned out great. Will make Haley happy and less work for you than embroidery or patchwork 🙂

    Such a cute pillow!

And as for the backpack — still not done here. Aiming for sometime in September!

Beautiful pillow!! Sometimes little girls know exactly what it is that they want. Reminds me of my daughter’s Halloween costume last year. A plain black witch dress and a pointed black hat. Nothing else. “Witches don’t have capes.” “Witches don’t have aprons.” “Witches don’t wear tights.” “Witches don’t have ruffles.” This year she wants to be a ghost. No fair!!!

That does sound familiar! The pillow turned out cute and it really was much easier for me too. 🙂 I haven’t even begun to think about Halloween! Last year she was a fairy….and we just used stuff we had on hand to make the costume. A ghost, huh? Well – witches and ghosts are very Halloweeny. How old is she?

Sweet pillow! The most fashionable one in Kindergarten, I’m sure.
