Book Problem

I have a problem. I like to read books. What’s the problem? you ask. Well – I cannot put a book down once I start. Seriously. (unless it’s a really bad book) And if the book is part of a series – well count on me being out until I’ve finished the whole set.  Give up books?   My husband might like that – but really it’s not a long term option.  Solution? Books on tape (or cd or itunes).  I got The Shack today and I plan to look for more at the library tonight.  (Tues is our family Library night. I think it’ll just be me and Haley tonight – the little boys are sick. 😦 )  Anyway, hopefully this will allow me to get some work done while still enjoying a book.  🙂 Have you done this? Does it work for you?

YES! I would definitly reccommend it! you can get so much done while listening to a book. I always did it on laundry day – or do it while you are excersizing on the bike instead of a VHS 🙂

i have mixed emotions about this book. i think the important thing to take from this one is that God wants relationship with us, not just “religion”.
i hope you enjoy it. maybe give a review when you’re done.

I have that problem to being unable to put books down once I start. It is not unheard of for me to read until 3-4am and then pay for it the next day. My latest obsession is the Twilight series. I just wrote about it in my blog too LOL.

I listen to books on CDs in the car a lot, but I haven’t tried it in the house while trying to accomplish something else. I’ll be anxious to hear how it works for you. I also want to know your reaction to The Shack. I read it, then bought one for Tom and the 3 sons so they and the daughters-in-law can read it! We’re supposed to discuss it at our next “5th Sunday” gathering:) I am sorry to hear that Kyle and Taylor are sick. Enjoy your blog often although I don’t comment often. Keep up the good work!

Hi — anxious to hear how you liked the book The Shack. I read it after Grandma A. insisted. I had a hard time putting it down.
THANKS for all your excellent blog entries — I sure enjoy them. Sorry for not responding. We are doing fine. love you!

Oh books.. I’m a sucker for anything Nora Roberts writes. Love her.. The only book on CD I’ve listened to is Big Russ & Me by Tim Russert. Very good. I listened in the car & loved how quickly I got thru it.. but the car is my secret place and I can’t do without that. It’s hard to fit it all in! & I love that you all do Library night.. very smart on your part.
