If you don’t know this about me already, I listen to music almost all the time.  It’s Prince today (or the artist formerly known as Prince or a symbol that represents him…you get the idea). So that inspired my title – although he really has nothing to do with it. I wanted to share with you this apron. And wearing it kinda makes me feel like a princess – and I’m listening to Prince. Well – now you see how weird my mind is!  So on with the apron….

Some time ago, I was asked to participate in the Sugar Snap launch on eBay. I gladly accepted because I LOVE this fabric. After a complicated discussion in my mind – I finally decided to make an apron. I decided I would auction it off for charity. I even sent Melissa (yeah, I act like we’re on a first name basis…) a note to see if she had a favorite charity. I used the prints Kimono in Cocoa and Tendril in Jade. And I used the pattern from Taylor Made, More Retro Aprons. I really love the apron. Like I really don’t want to auction it on eBay anymore. *sigh* I guess I should have made something that wouldn’t tempt me so. 😉 I haven’t actually used it yet – but it also hasn’t made it to the listing page of eBay…..

So I was thinking, maybe I can bring myself to auction it if I make a replacement apron. I was contemplating the new Amy Butler Pattern, the Domestic Goddess Apron. (Which by the way, I do have in stock – I just need to get it listed in my store!) Or maybe by making another apron, I will only start an addiction. (That seems the more likely result.)

Now I may have to make a raspberry beret too. Anyone know where I can find a pattern?

Love the apron and I know how you feel about giving it up. I have the same conversations in my head, but then do the same thing, make a replacement.

Maybe the Prince aka the artist formerly known as prince will have a gently used raspberry beret?

It looks good on you. You should keep it, definitely. Maybe just make two… that way letting one go won’t be so hard. .. and I like the way your mind wonders around.. it makes perfect since to me. 🙂
