Lettuce Edge

A lettuce edge is a tight little rolled hem that makes a cute little wavy ruffle at the edge of the fabric.  It’s a fun way to finish knits- and with my serger, I can do lettuce edging with relative ease.  🙂

For you tonight –  a little sneak peak of Haley’s Christmas jammies!  She’ll LOVE the princess theme.  A friend of mine sent me the knit fabric and I have no idea where she purchased it.  The thought of changing my store name to Above All Knits and only carrying cute knit fabrics has crossed my mind……  Okay – I know that won’t happen – but I am thinking I need to pay more attention to knits in the future.   I haven’t sewn with knit in years – and I’m not sure why I was scared but it wasn’t an unpleasant experience and it ended with wonderful results!

I bought the same knit from JoAnn Farics. I forgot I had it until I saw your picture. I think I will also use it for my daughter’s Christmas PJ’s. Thanks!

Hey there. You can get the princess knit fabric at JoAnn Fabrics. I used to work there briefly and it was quite popular. It sold out pretty quickly. So check online or your local JoANns.
    Happy HOlidays.
