Summer Cleaning

I ran into another preschool mom while I was at the post office. She asked me how it was going without the kids and if I had been able to relax a little bit. HA! Relax – nope. I’m in hyper drive to try to get about 3 pages of things done while they are gone. Things that I can’t do while they are here – or things that I can do…but it’s easier when they are not here! Honestly – I’m not going to make it through the list. Oh well, I tried!

Sort clothes! For some reason, my children insist upon outgrowing there clothing every few months. I actually sorted clothes right before Spring Break – but it was time again. Especially with the school year coming up! For those of you keeping track – Kyle needs pants, Haley needs practically nothing and Taylor needs shirts. Besides clothes we sorted toys. Too many toys. Seriously, TOO many toys. The kids never want to get rid of any toys – so it had to be done while they were away! We sorted toys, and books and craft supplies and clothes and bedding and just about everything upstairs. Now we have a truckload full of things to take to the donation center.

We also got the kids a new bed! Well, it’s not really new, but it’s new to us. It was a hookup from hubby’s work. We paid less for it than the mattresses alone should have cost. Sweet! The kiddos are going to be excited when they see it. They have no idea that their room is changing while they are gone! Kyle and Haley will share it in this house. It’ll go into Kyle’s room in the new house. (Don’t feel bad for Taylor – he got his toddler bed not long ago. 🙂 ) This bed has spurred some great “decorating” ideas.

I don’t have any idea why I made the pictures black and white – just to mix things up a bit, I suppose. Alright, enough for now! Have a great one. (Happy Birthday too to my mother-in-law – although I realize that you’ll more than likely read this a day late. Hope your day was great!)
