Redesign, redo, renew

I have been working and working on my website. I’m completely re-doing it. I feel refreshed looking at the progress….but I still have a long way to go. I’m honestly hoping by the end of the month you can see a new re-designed ccforkids.com! My blog, esty shop, eBay listings (and ME page) and website should all look like they belong to the same person, know what I mean? So anyway, I’m making progress and am pleased thus far. One little issue. Okay, one BIG issue.

I am really bad at taking pictures. Do you think a new camera would solve this problem? Some how, I feel that the problem lies with the photographer. Too bad. Some people may look at my pictures and say “They’re not too bad.” And some of them are ok….but none of them are GREAT! OUTSTANDING! You see, I’m going for eye catching, creative, beautiful pictures.

I actually looked into taking a photography class this semester at the community college….but get this. The classes were all ONLINE! WHAT? Maybe I should try one. They actually did have a few real classes, but they were all the way down in Green Valley, and I don’t want to drive to Green Valley. I guess they figure the retired community is the only age group interested in real classes these days?!?!?!?

So, be watching. The big reveal will come sooner or later. Probably later. 🙂

I figured I should show you a picture of something this time….even if it’s not great. It’s a blanket that Kyle gave to one of his friends. The friend really likes it and has been using it every night! He loves baseball…so it seemed appropriate.

Next up: mailing the Thanksgiving giveaway gift. Yep, that’s right, baby! I have not forgotten and a few are in the mail. The rest will be in the mail by Monday. I might hold off on posting pictures so that the recipients can be surprised.

A little Veggie update: Yep! It works like a charm. We’ve had cauliflower, sweet potato, spinach, and butternut squash so far. Maybe I’ll take some bad pictures and show you the finished products.

Any picture is better than no picture.

Hi Melanie, For me, it’s not the camera, it’s what I can do to the sorry picture after I upload it on the computer. I alway adjust the lighting levels on my pictures in Photoshop (I have an old version) and almost always crop them. Nothing I show on the blog has NOT been tampered with. :o) I wish I could take better pictures – it sure would save a ton of time when I try to post something or throw together a pattern cover…
