There are so many Moms out there wondering “How can I get it all done?” I have come to the conclusion that you cannot…at least not on your own, in the SUPER MOM fashion that many of us try to maintain. So, I showed you one picture the other day of my sewing area. It was not ‘magazine’ clean or decorated, but it wasn’t completely accurate either. Last night I had this little conversation:
Me: “This place is a mess. I wondering if other people are like this.”
Alter Ego: “No, you’re the messiest out there. Hide this from everyone.”
Me: “Surly not! I know of others that are messier.”
Alter Ego: “You just want there to be other messy Moms to make yourself feel better.”
Me: “Maybe so, but I also want other moms to know that they are not alone. I’m going to retake the sewing room picture and re-post it to show a more honest state of my life.”
Alter Ego: “No one will want to buy from you if you are messy.”
Me: “That may be true. But I need to be honest about who I am. And I have a feeling most moms can relate to not being able to do everything perfectly.”
So here it is. I do clean up sometimes – so it gets MUCH better and then it gets MUCH worse. Please don’t hate me! And please still buy fabric and patterns from me
Thank you!
